SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS:<br />

The <strong>Trust</strong> has an IM&T strategy for the period 2009 – 2013 designed to ensure that we make<br />

progress towards the IM&T infrastructure needed to support the new acute hospital and the<br />

provision of care closer to home. The paper presents an annual review of this strategy<br />

including:<br />

• the impact of the recent review of the National Programme for IT on the delivery of the<br />

planned electronic patient record (Lornenzo);<br />

• projects being pursued by IM&T to support the Quality and Efficiency Programme;<br />

• other key IM&T developments.<br />

ACTIONS REQUIRED, INCLUDING RECOMMENDATION:<br />

The <strong>Board</strong> is asked to:<br />

• Note the annual IM&T strategic update and progress made and the new plans<br />

regarding supporting QuEP.<br />

• Note the risks raised in association with the delivery of Lorenzo Regional Care from CSC<br />

and the NPfIT Programme.<br />

• Note the actions that are being taken to manage these risks solutions to mitigate them.<br />

• Note that the <strong>Trust</strong> has met the IG Statement of Compliance by achieving level 2 and<br />

above across the core 25 standards.<br />
