11.8 Proposed Monitoring
11.8.1 Monitoring the implementation of best practice measures for works in VER habitats, and
around watercourses, for VER species should be undertaken through routine checks during
construction as part of the role of the ECoW.
11.9 Statement of Significance
11.9.1 This chapter has assessed the likely significance of effects of the proposed wind energy
development with regard to habitats and species at the site. By applying effective mitigation
measures, mainly through the design process, and through the activities of an Ecological Clerk
of Works, the residual effects of the proposed wind energy development are assessed as
being minor or negligible and therefore not significant in terms of the EIA Regulations.
