29.6. My Computer Is Not Connected to the Internet. How Do<br />
I Update BitDefender?<br />
If your computer is not connected to the Internet, you must download the updates<br />
manually to a computer with Internet access and then transfer them to your<br />
computer using a removable device, such as a flash drive.<br />
Follow these steps:<br />
1. On a computer with Internet access, open a web browser and go to:<br />
www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Desktop-<strong>Pro</strong>ducts-Updates.html<br />
2. In the Manual Update column, click the link corresponding to your product and<br />
system architecture. If you don't know whether your Windows is running on 32<br />
or 64 bits, please refer to “Am I Using a 32 bit or a 64 bit Version of Windows?”<br />
(p. 138).<br />
3. Save the file named weekly.exe to the system.<br />
4. Transfer the downloaded file on a removable device, such as a flash drive, and<br />
then to your computer.<br />
5. Double-click the file and follow the wizard.<br />

This article helps you troubleshoot the BitDefender Services are not responding<br />
error. You may encounter this error as follows:<br />
● The BitDefender icon in the system tray is grayed out and a pop-up informs you<br />
that the BitDefender services are not responding.<br />
● The BitDefender window indicates that the BitDefender services are not<br />
responding.<br />
The error may be caused by one of the following conditions:<br />
● an important update is being installed.<br />
● temporary communication errors between the BitDefender services.<br />
● some of the BitDefender services are stopped.<br />
● other security solutions running on your computer at the same time with<br />
BitDefender.<br />
● viruses on your system affect the normal operation of BitDefender.<br />
To troubleshoot this error, try these solutions:<br />
1. Wait a few moments and see if anything changes. The error may be temporary.<br />
