3. Name and date <strong>of</strong> the project-specific geotechnical engineering report upon which the Design<br />

Engineer relied;<br />

4. Live load and other loads used in the design, including surcharge loads and potential<br />

exposure to storm water inundation. Specifically identify the applicable loads and their load<br />

factors;<br />

5. Identification <strong>of</strong> geotechnical investigation and report to which the design conforms<br />

(including report name and number (if applicable), date <strong>of</strong> issuance, engineering firm name<br />

and address, firm TBPE firm registration number, and name <strong>of</strong> geotechnical engineer <strong>of</strong><br />

record).<br />

6. Where plans indicate compacted soil, provide compaction specification.<br />

7. Specified compressive strength <strong>of</strong> concrete at stated ages or stages <strong>of</strong> construction for which<br />

each part <strong>of</strong> the structure is designed.<br />

8. The design shall specifically address construction loading and sequencing. Service loads shall<br />

not be applied until the concrete has reached its minimum specified compressive strength or<br />

the structure is adequately shored to withstand the service loads;<br />

9. Drainage system (if applicable), including material specification, diameter, daylight point,<br />

and outfall connection detail (if applicable), granular material (if applicable) specification,<br />

filter fabric material specification and installation requirements, and weepholes (if<br />

applicable), including material type, diameter, and spacing;<br />

10. Size and location <strong>of</strong> all structural elements, reinforcement, and anchors;<br />

11. Identification <strong>of</strong> shop drawing requirements for fabrication, bending, and placement <strong>of</strong><br />

concrete reinforcement. Provide bar schedules, stirrup and tie spacing, diagrams <strong>of</strong> bent bars,<br />

and arrangement <strong>of</strong> concrete reinforcement. Provide additional details for reinforcement <strong>of</strong><br />

openings in concrete walls and slabs. Shop drawings shall be provided in accordance with the<br />

requirements <strong>of</strong> the technical specifications and submitted to the <strong>City</strong> for review and<br />

approval.<br />

12. Provisions for dimensional changes resulting from creep, shrinkage, and temperature;<br />

13. Details <strong>of</strong> all contraction, isolation joints, or expansion joints and the appropriate spacing<br />

specified;<br />

14. Anchorage length <strong>of</strong> reinforcement and location and length <strong>of</strong> lap splices (if applicable);<br />

15. Type and location <strong>of</strong> mechanical splices <strong>of</strong> reinforcement (if applicable). Welding <strong>of</strong><br />

reinforcement shall not be permitted unless approved by the Design Engineer and the<br />

Director <strong>of</strong> <strong>Engineering</strong> Services;<br />

16. The technical specifications for concrete mixtures shall be provided in accordance with the<br />

following:<br />

a. Concrete for roadway pavement and related facilities (i.e. driveways, sidewalks, ramps,<br />

etc.) shall be in accordance with the <strong>City</strong>’s technical specification 321313-Concrete<br />

Pavement;<br />
