CENTRIFUGALLY CAST FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PIPE
FOR GRAVITY WASTEWATER MAINS
A. All material, labor, equipment, tools and superintendence necessary to furnish and install
Centrifugally Cast Fiberglass Reinforced Pipe For Gravity Wastewater Mains in accordance
with Public Works Construction Standards, NCTCOG, 4 th Edition, Items 501.24, 505 and
507.

2.01 MATERIALS

PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.01 CONSTRUCTION
A. Refer to Public Works Construction Standards, NCTCOG, 4 th Edition, Items 505 and 507.
B. The construction of all wastewater mains shall begin at the outlet or lower end, unless
otherwise directed by the Inspector.
C. Appurtenances shall be constructed as soon as the wastewater main of which they are a part
is constructed to their locations. Upon request by the Contractor, the Inspector may permit
postponement of the construction of manholes on wastewater mains, and the Contractor
shall, without additional cost to the Owner, lay the pipe continuously through the manhole
location.
D. The construction of appurtenances in advance of construction of the wastewater line will not
be permitted.
