<strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>Standards</strong><br />

The <strong>City</strong> requires the submittal <strong>of</strong> CAD files for all plats within the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Frisco</strong> for<br />

incorporation into the <strong>City</strong>’s GIS system. The Engineer must provide Grid Coordinates (State<br />

Plane) or Surface Coordinates with Scale Factor. The electronic files shall include the following:<br />

1. Two Monuments (with three-dimensional coordinates);<br />

2. Markers at a minimum <strong>of</strong> two property corners (with three-dimensional coordinates);<br />

3. Parcel boundaries; and<br />

4. Right-<strong>of</strong>-way and easement dedications.<br />

10.03 Final Plat Acceptance<br />

A. Prior to Final Plat Acceptance, all required Monuments must be found and re-set if damaged<br />

during construction.<br />

1. The Surveyor will provide two Monuments acceptable to the <strong>City</strong>and establish grid<br />

coordinates for the monuments in reference to the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Frisco</strong> GPS Monuments.<br />

2. Elevations will be established on the two monuments on the vertical datum in reference to the<br />

<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Frisco</strong> GPS Monuments.<br />

3. The three dimensional coordinates in grid coordinates established for these monuments will<br />

be clearly shown on the face <strong>of</strong> the plat. A note shall be added to the plat specifying the grid<br />

coordinates are not for design purposes.<br />

4. The plat shall hold grid bearings and shall not be from an assumed north.<br />

5. All distances shown on the plat will be surface distances.<br />

6. Refer to Development Application Handbook for required language on plats.<br />

7. In order to ensure that all necessary easements are reflected on the Final Plat, a preliminary<br />

inspection should be completed after all construction work has been done before the Final<br />

Plat is submitted for approval.<br />
