f<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>in</strong>stitutions and <strong>in</strong>ternational non-governmental networks.<br />

The Nordic Council is the forum for Nordic parliamentary cooperation. The members of the<br />
Council are members of the national parliaments, who are nom<strong>in</strong>ated by their respective political<br />

The <strong>Baltic</strong> Islands Network is a network of the 7 largest islands <strong>in</strong> the <strong>Baltic</strong> <strong>Sea</strong> from 5 different<br />
countries.<br />
Conference of Peripheral Maritime <strong>Region</strong>s of Europe defends the regional <strong>in</strong>terests of 155 coastal<br />
regions, divided <strong>in</strong>to Member <strong>Region</strong>s. One of it is the <strong>Baltic</strong> <strong>Sea</strong>, where CPMR – <strong>Baltic</strong> <strong>Sea</strong><br />
Commission takes care of the regional activities.<br />

<strong>Baltic</strong> Development Forum is an <strong>in</strong>dependent non-pro<strong>fi</strong>t network<strong>in</strong>g organisation with members<br />
from large companies, major cities, <strong>in</strong>stitutional <strong>in</strong>vestors and bus<strong>in</strong>ess associations <strong>in</strong> the BSR.<br />
