Fauna in the study region and adjacent areas are scarce, due to poor food supply and<br />
the unfavorable conditions in the region.<br />

In connection with the degradation of vegetation decreases the number of nesting<br />

Since 1960, the level of the Aral Sea has decreased by more than 14 m, which<br />
resulted in a number of changes in natural conditions on its shores. There was a complete<br />
overhaul of the landscape. At present, the Aral Sea has lost all meaning fish pond. Number<br />
of waterbirds has decreased dramatically. Many mammals and birds have migrated to<br />
Sarykamysh basin in search of new places.<br />
In the southern Aral Sea region are home to over 60 species of mammals. More than<br />
40 species occur in the MCC. Note that half of them are rodents. Below is the species<br />
