K9. Ranch <strong>Horse</strong><br />
A. <strong>Pinto</strong>s are to be shown over a prescribed course in which<br />
entries must work a gate, walk over logs, pass over a bridge,<br />
jump a 12” jump, show speed in reining, work rope from full<br />
breakaway, complete a sliding stop, and load in and out of a<br />
parked trailer.<br />
B. To be judged on performance, manners, conformation, and<br />
appointments.<br />
C. Entries going off pattern will be disqualified.<br />
RanCH HoRsE PaTTERn<br />
1. On entering the arena, the exhibitor opens, passes<br />
through, and closes the gate.<br />
2. Walks over logs.<br />
3. Trots to and walks over bridge.<br />
4. Lopes to and over twelve inch (12”) jump.<br />
5. Stops, takes down coiled rope.<br />
6. Lopes with speed a tight and fast figure eight.<br />
7. Lopes in and around log and barrel.<br />
8. Makes two (2) fast turns around barrel, coming out in a full<br />
breakaway.<br />
9. & 10. Comes to a sliding stop as coiled rope is pitched out<br />
and <strong>Horse</strong> or Pony works rope as exhibitor dismounts.<br />
Exhibitor then remounts and walks to trailer.<br />
11. Exhibitor dismounts and loads <strong>Pinto</strong> in and out of parked<br />
trailer.<br />
