5. Two (2) Youth Register of Excellence awards have<br />

been earned, one (1) in Equitation, <strong>Horse</strong>manship, or<br />

Reinsmanship and one (1) in an individual performance<br />

event.<br />

H13. superior Performance <strong>Pinto</strong><br />

While not intended to be above a Supreme Champion, this<br />

award is the highest performance award given. It is awarded<br />

upon earning the following:<br />

A. <strong>Horse</strong>: Eight (8) Performance Register of Excellence awards.<br />

B. Pony/Miniature: Five (5) Performance Register of Excellence<br />

awards.<br />

C. Amateur Unit: Eight (8) Performance Register of Excellence<br />

Awards, including Showmanship, Equitation, <strong>Horse</strong>manship<br />

and Reinsmanship.<br />

D. YA Unit: Eight (8) Performance Register of Excellence Awards,<br />

including Showmanship, Equitation, <strong>Horse</strong>manship and<br />

Reinsmanship.<br />

H14. aM/ya Top Ten, Poy, aoy, yoy<br />

A. The <strong>Association</strong> will make annual awards based upon the<br />

number of points earned by an individual <strong>Pinto</strong>, or AM Unit, or<br />

YA Unit during that year of competition in each of the approved<br />

events in which points are awarded at PtHA-approved shows<br />

and any event deemed proper by PtHA.<br />

B. Points will be computed on a yearly calendar basis from<br />

January 1 to December 31. <strong>Horse</strong>, Pony, Miniature of the Year<br />

and YA/AM High Point standings close December 31 of each<br />

year. Results received by the <strong>Association</strong> later than 30 days<br />

following a show will not be included in the standings.<br />

C. All Youth or Amateurs eligible to participate in the PtHA AM or<br />

YA Champion and ROM programs are eligible for AM and/or<br />

YA annual High Point awards.<br />

D. For an event to receive <strong>Pinto</strong> of the Year status in a specific<br />

year, it must have been held in at least two (2) separate PtHA<br />

approved shows during that year. For this purpose only,<br />

multi-judge shows would be considered one show. If an event<br />

does not meet this criterion, it will not appear in the year end<br />

standings. The Executive Manager may exempt an event if it is<br />

only held at the <strong>Pinto</strong> World Championship Show. A minimum of<br />

eight (8) ROM points is required to receive award. An honorable<br />

mention will be made in the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine for<br />

any event with less than the minimum number of points.<br />

E. The ten (10) units in each of the two Youth age groups – 13<br />

& under; 14-18 earning the highest number of points overall<br />

shall constitute the Youth Activities High Point winners. The ten<br />

(10) units in each of the three (3) Amateur age groups – 19-39<br />

under; 40-54, 55 and over, earning the highest number of<br />

points overall shall constitute the Amateur High Point winners.<br />

An appropriate certificate shall be prepared and presented<br />

to each Youth or Amateur, and the High Point winners will be<br />

published in the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine and posted on the<br />

PtHA Web site.<br />

F. The <strong>Pinto</strong> earning more points during the year than any other<br />

of its peers has earned in a given event will be named “<strong>Pinto</strong><br />

of the Year” in that event. An appropriate certificate shall be<br />

prepared and presented to the owner of said <strong>Pinto</strong>, and the<br />

name of the <strong>Pinto</strong> and owner will be published in the <strong>Pinto</strong><br />

<strong>Horse</strong> online magazine and posted on the PtHA Web site.<br />

G. Each of the next nine highest point-earning <strong>Pinto</strong>s for that year<br />

in each event will be so designated as “Honorable Mention”<br />

and be published in the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine.<br />

H. To be eligible for any award in this program, the owner of<br />

record, or lessee if applicable, must be a current member of<br />

PtHA. AM or YA must be a current member of PtHA.<br />
