SPECIAL NOTICE<br />
ALL PtHA APPLICANTS OR PARTICIPANTS IN PtHA APPROVED<br />
SHOWS OR EVENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWLEDGE OF ALL<br />
RULES AND REGULATIONS.<br />
Situations not specifically covered in this <strong>Rule</strong> <strong>Book</strong> will be managed according<br />
to current PtHA policy. All changes to rules and regulations made after<br />
publication of this book will be posted on the <strong>Pinto</strong> Web site, www.pinto.org, as<br />
official <strong>Rule</strong> <strong>Book</strong> changes.<br />
a. MEMBERsHiP<br />
a1. applying For Membership<br />
A. Application for membership must be made in writing to the<br />
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the<br />
<strong>Association</strong> upon an official PtHA membership application.<br />
1. The name/names appearing on the membership shall be<br />
the exact same name/names used for any registrations or<br />
transfers.<br />
2. Membership shall be in such form and on such conditions,<br />
and shall contain such agreements as the Board of<br />
Directors may prescribe, and while in good standing, shall<br />
entitle the member(s) to all privileges and advantages of<br />
membership.<br />
3. Membership within PtHA is a privilege. In order to utilize<br />
any service or programs within PtHA, an individual or entity<br />
must be a current member.<br />
B. By applying for membership, the applicant(s) automatically<br />
agrees to be bound by and to abide by the Constitution,<br />
Bylaws, and <strong>Rule</strong>s and Regulations of the <strong>Association</strong>.<br />
a2. Types of Membership<br />
A. Types of memberships offered:<br />
1. Individual – Restricted to one person. This is a requirement<br />
to exhibit a <strong>Pinto</strong> at any PtHA show or event, regardless of<br />
other memberships held.<br />
a. This membership is carried in an individual’s legal<br />
name.<br />
b. Individual Memberships carry full privileges of PtHA,<br />
including privileges to participate in PtHA Open<br />
Division at shows and other PtHA activities.<br />
c. This membership is for people over 18 years of age.<br />
2. Joint – A combination to a maximum of two persons (i.e.<br />
husband and wife).<br />
3. Assumed or Trade Name – A person or persons or artificial<br />
legal entity, ranches, sole proprietorship or any other<br />
designation not being the legal name of the person or<br />
artificial legal entity (i.e. John Smith dba Smith Ranches).<br />
(no show privileges)<br />
4. Corporate – Corporations in good standing in the state<br />
or country of incorporation, the officers, representatives,<br />
shareholders and all beneficial owners. (no show<br />
privileges)<br />
5. Syndicate or Joint Venture – Syndicates or joint ventures<br />
in good standing in the state, province or country of their
