D. The OCAP program is open to all PtHA members and PtHA
registered horses in good standing who have enrolled in the
program.
y2. show approval
A. Approvals run from January 1 to the following December 31.
Show approvals must be renewed annually.
B. Shows approved by Associations listed on the PtHA
Recognized Associations/Approved Outcross Breed
Associations list receive automatic approval.
C. Any club, association, futurity or individual class that is
not listed on the PtHA Recognized Associations/Approved
Outcross Breed Associations list may apply for OCAP show
approval. To receive approval, club management must submit
an OCAP approval application along with show premium list,
which will be reviewed before points are awarded.
D. PtHA reserves the right to accept or reject submitted show
approvals.
E. Submit a copy of:
1. Show rules
2. Show bill (for each show)
3. Proof of point record (High Point/Year End awards)
4. Names of judges (for each show)
5. Names, phone numbers, and signatures of all show
secretaries
F. Approval or Denial
1. The show will be notified in writing of approval or denial.
2. Letters of notification will contain a Club ID number and
Individual Show ID numbers.
3. Letters may be posted for the benefit of exhibitors.
G. Shows that are NOT eligible for OCAP points.
1. PtHA approved ROM classes at Pinto shows.
2. Fun, Training, or Schooling shows
3. Proper show attire not required
4. Training equipment allowed
y3. Pinto, owner, Exhibitor Eligibility
A. Pintos participating in OCAP must have a permanent PtHA
registration number.
B. Owner(s) of record must be current members of PtHA.
C. Lessee(s), if applicable, must be current members of PtHA.
D. Lease must be on file with the PtHA office.
E. Exhibitor(s) must have current PtHA memberships in the
appropriate category, i.e. Youth, Individual.
y4. Enrollment
A. Enrollment in the OCAP program is from January 1 to the
following December 31. Must be renewed annually.
B. An enrollment form and fees must be submitted for each Pinto.
(See Fee Schedule)
C. Enrollment is not complete until the owner receives the OCAP
enrollment card.
D. Points earned prior to enrollment in the OCAP program will not
be accepted.
y5. oCaP Class Eligibility
A. PtHA rules will determine the eligibility of any class or event
submitted for OCAP consideration.
B. Only classes that match those listed in the PtHA Rule Book are
eligible for consideration in this program.
C. Classes must be clearly titled to correspond with class titles
as they appear in the PtHA Rule Book. (i.e. “Stake Race”, not
“Stakes”)
D. Gymkhana classes must be titled to correspond with the
pattern used and diagramed in the PtHA Rule Book.
E. Novice/ Non-Pro level of competition (i.e. Eventing) will be
accepted.
