C11. initial Registration Procedures<br />
The official Registry of the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Association</strong> of America,<br />
Inc. provides for the pedigreed registration of <strong>Pinto</strong>s in either<br />
Color or Breeding Stock Divisions.<br />
A. General<br />
1. Animals registered with an approved outcross registry<br />
with <strong>Pinto</strong> color or color breeding will be accepted in its<br />
respective division of the PtHA registry upon presentation<br />
of correct fees, a complete application, four (4) current<br />
color pictures, and a copy of the outcross Registration<br />
Certificate, provided other requirements are met.<br />
2. <strong>Horse</strong> stallions with unknown or unregistered backgrounds<br />
(either sire or dam or both) are not eligible for registration.<br />
3. The age of a horse shall be computed on the basis of a<br />
calendar year starting on January 1 of the year foaled; it is<br />
a weanling during the calendar year in which foaled and a<br />
yearling during the first calendar year following its foaling<br />
date, regardless of the time of year foaled. For example,<br />
a horse foaled anytime in 2007 was considered to be one<br />
year old on January 1, 2008, and two years old on January<br />
1, 2009.<br />
4. Conditional Registration Program – The PtHA Conditional<br />
Registration Program provides Field Representatives<br />
the opportunity to issue temporary conditional PtHA<br />
Registration Certificates. All Conditional Certificates are<br />
temporary and conditional until approval of all criteria by<br />
<strong>2011</strong> PtHA <strong>Rule</strong> <strong>Book</strong> 41<br />
