F2. show Representative<br />
A. General<br />
1. There shall be a show representative at every PtHAapproved<br />
show or division.<br />
2. The show representative shall be chosen by show<br />
management, and his/her name shall be posted and/or<br />
announced at the show.<br />
3. A show representative must be a current adult member<br />
(19 years or older) in good standing with PtHA and not on<br />
suspension from any other organization.<br />
4. A show representative may compete in any class at that<br />
show for which he/she is eligible.<br />
B. Duties<br />
1. To fill out the form(s) provided by show management and<br />
return them to the PtHA business office within fifteen (15)<br />
days of completion of the show(s).<br />
2. To report to PtHA on the conduct and performance of the<br />
judge(s), ring steward(s)), and show management, and<br />
any violations of the rules.<br />
3. To report to PtHA conduct by an exhibitor or any other<br />
party on the show grounds which appears not to be in<br />
the best interest of the breed, an individual animal, or the<br />
<strong>Association</strong>, and any violations of the rules.<br />
4. To report to the show management any misrepresentation<br />
or substitution of entry and report same to PtHA. To report<br />
to show management and PtHA any violation of PtHA rules<br />
he/she observes during the show(s).<br />
F3. Ring steward<br />
A. The ring steward is to assist the judge(s), but never to advise<br />
him/her. He/she shall carefully refrain from discussing or<br />
conferring, or seeming to discuss or confer, with the judge<br />
about the animals or exhibitors. A ring steward shall not take<br />
part, or seem to take part, in any of the judging. When not<br />
actively engaged in his/her duties, the ring steward shall place<br />
himself/herself in such a position so as not to interfere with the<br />
judging.<br />
B. The ring steward has charge of the activity in the ring or arena.<br />
The judge may request that the ring steward move and place<br />
animals as he/she advises. The ring steward shall be familiar<br />
with normal horse show procedure, etiquette, and PtHA rules.<br />
C. The ring steward has the authority, upon request of the<br />
officiating judge, to ask an exhibitor to remove his/her <strong>Pinto</strong> for<br />
the safety of other exhibitors and spectators.<br />
D. The ring steward shall perform any other duties prescribed to<br />
him/her in these rules or any reasonable request from show<br />
management.<br />
E. A person may not serve as ring steward if he/she or any<br />
member of his/her family or any family owned horses have not<br />
yet finished showing at that show.<br />
F4. Judges<br />
A. General<br />
1. Judges must be selected from the current approved list<br />
of the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Association</strong>. Upon request, the PtHA<br />
business office will furnish a list of approved judges to<br />
organizations or persons sponsoring shows.<br />
2. All judges are subject to the following conditions:<br />
a. A judge must be a current member in good standing<br />
with PtHA to be eligible to judge a PtHA-approved<br />
show. All judges will be required to annually renew his/<br />
her PtHA membership and PtHA judge’s card per <strong>Rule</strong><br />
A7. There will be an annual judge’s card renewal fee.<br />
b. Any person suspended by PtHA for cause will be<br />
automatically removed from the list of approved<br />
