5. Youth or Amateur owner classes that do not conform to<br />
the rules of their respective divisions will not receive ROM<br />
points.<br />
6. Mixed seat Western and English classes do not receive<br />
ROM points or recognition in any division except Trail and<br />
Amateur Novice classes.<br />
7. Costume, Youth or Amateur Color classes, YA Leadline, and<br />
YA Walk/Trot do not receive ROM points.<br />
D. Championship, Legion Of Merit, Supreme Champion, Superior<br />
All PtHA Championship, Legion of Merit, and Supreme<br />
Champion Awards will be separated into individual divisions<br />
(<strong>Horse</strong>, Pony, Miniature, Amateur and Youth), and a notation<br />
made to PtHA ROM records showing the standings in each<br />
division.<br />
H. REGisTER oF MERiT (RoM) awaRDs PRoGRaM<br />
H1. General Regulations and Requirements<br />
A. <strong>Pinto</strong> Name On Certificates<br />
1. A <strong>Pinto</strong> must be shown at all times under its full registered<br />
name and number as shown on its Registration Certificate.<br />
2. The first name choice as shown on the Conditional<br />
Registration Certificate issued by a Field Representative<br />
shall be used until a permanent Registration Certificate is<br />
issued.<br />
3. At no time may a <strong>Pinto</strong> be shown as “Pending” or<br />
“Unnamed”.<br />
4. PtHA is not responsible for any loss of points due to a<br />
<strong>Pinto</strong> being shown under any other name or registration<br />
number.<br />
B. Accumulation of Points<br />
1. Points are accumulated from the time a <strong>Pinto</strong> begins to be<br />
shown, regardless of the <strong>Pinto</strong>’s age.<br />
2. All points earned remain so credited if a <strong>Pinto</strong> changes<br />
conformation type designation, size designation,<br />
reclassification, or is gelded.<br />
3. All Open points earned, even when the <strong>Pinto</strong> is leased,<br />
remain with the <strong>Pinto</strong>.<br />
4. A lessee will accumulate all points toward PtHA year end<br />
awards on a leased <strong>Pinto</strong> for Youth and Amateur events.<br />
5. Recorded owner may not accumulate Youth or Amateur<br />
points on a leased <strong>Pinto</strong> unless named as co-lessee on<br />
Lease Notification form for the duration of the lease.<br />
6. The PtHA Points Department can provide research for<br />
any points or show inquiries not readily available on the<br />
current PtHA computer system. Such research is charged<br />
at a minimum rate of two (2) hours. See Current Fee<br />
Schedule. Fee must be pre-paid, and will be refunded if it<br />
is determined PtHA was responsible for any errors.<br />
C. Ownership<br />
1. Current owner(s) as shown in the PtHA records and on the<br />
Registration Certificate, or the lessee, if applicable, of a<br />
<strong>Pinto</strong> must be a member in good standing of PtHA for the<br />
<strong>Pinto</strong> to receive any awards.<br />
2. All parties in a joint ownership must be members with a<br />
Corporate membership.<br />
D. Halter Requirements<br />
Halter Championship requirements must be met from<br />
point-earning classes.<br />
E. Award Certificate<br />
1. At such time as any <strong>Pinto</strong>, AM unit, or YA unit qualifies<br />
for any ROM program certificate/award, the owner or AM<br />
unit or YA unit as shown in PtHA records will be issued<br />
