D. Pony Conformation Types<br />
1. Stock Type Pony - The Stock type <strong>Pinto</strong> pony is a pony<br />
of predominantly Shetland pony, Welsh pony or Quarter<br />
<strong>Horse</strong> breeding and conformation suitable for western,<br />
hunter seat and a variety of other events.<br />
2. Hunter Type Pony - The Hunter type <strong>Pinto</strong> pony is a<br />
pony of predominantly Welsh pony, Connemara pony or<br />
Thoroughbred breeding suitable for hunter seat, western<br />
and a variety of other events.<br />
3. Pleasure Type Pony - The Pleasure type <strong>Pinto</strong> pony is of<br />
predominantly Welsh pony, classic style Shetland pony or<br />
Arabian breeding suitable for western, hunter and saddle<br />
seat, driving and a variety of other events.<br />
4. Saddle Type Pony - The Saddle type <strong>Pinto</strong> pony is a pony<br />
of predominantly modern style Shetland pony, Hackney<br />
pony or American Saddlebred breeding, displaying high<br />
head carriage and the animated, high action of these<br />
breeds and is suitable for western, saddle and hunter seat,<br />
driving and a variety of other events.<br />
C10. outcross Registration Breeds<br />
A. General<br />
1. Individual cases involving breeds that are not on the<br />
recognized list will be considered and acted upon by the<br />
PtHA business office.<br />
2. No Appaloosa breeds are acceptable.<br />
3. Draft horse breeds are prohibited in the previous four<br />
generations, except for Utility classified horses.<br />
4. Designation - under no circumstances will a registered<br />
outcross horse be accepted into the <strong>Pinto</strong> Registry under<br />
a different designation than the accepted type of outcross<br />
breed.<br />
