C. The fall of <strong>Horse</strong>/Pony/Miniature and/or rider/handler shall<br />
disqualify the entry, unless otherwise noted in rules.<br />
G13. inhumane Treatment<br />
A. No person on show grounds, including but not limited to,<br />
barns, stalls, parking area and show arena, may treat a horse<br />
in an inhumane manner. The standard by which conduct<br />
or inhumane treatment will be measured is that which a<br />
reasonable person, informed and experienced in generally<br />
accepted equine training and exhibition procedures, would<br />
determine to be cruel, abusive and inhumane.<br />
B. Upon discovery by a show official of inhumane treatment,<br />
show management shall immediately report the matter to the<br />
<strong>Association</strong>.<br />
G14. Protests and Controversies – (show-Related)<br />
A. Any exhibitor or owner making a protest must be a current<br />
member in good standing of PtHA.<br />
B. Any exhibitor or owner making a protest shall lodge such<br />
protest with the Show Chairman in writing and signed by the<br />
protester within twelve (12) hours of the time of the cause of<br />
the protest.<br />
C. The protest must state all alleged rule violations.<br />
D. The protester shall be available to support the protest by<br />
personal testimony at the hearing.<br />
E. The protest must be accompanied by a protest fee in cash,<br />
money order, or certified check. If the protest is upheld, the fee<br />
will be refunded. The protest fee is $250.00.<br />
F. The Show Committee shall schedule and hold a hearing within<br />
twelve (12) hours of receipt of the complaint or completion of<br />
the investigation.<br />
G. Decisions of the Show Committee shall be dated and in writing<br />
and may be appealed to the PtHA Executive Committee<br />
provided that notice of the appeal is received in the PtHA office<br />
within thirty (30) days from the date of decision of the Show<br />
Committee.<br />
H. The appeal must state specifically all alleged rule violations on<br />
which the appeal is based.<br />
I. The PtHA Executive Committee will schedule a hearing to<br />
consider the appeal pursuant to the hearing procedures<br />
outlined in <strong>Rule</strong> B10. The decision of the Executive Committee<br />
is final and binding on all parties.<br />
G15. schooling<br />
A. Schooling over any obstacles in the ring or over any part of an<br />
outside course at an approved show may be permitted only at<br />
a time specified by the Show Committee. All other schooling<br />
over obstacles shall be permitted only within clearly identified<br />
areas.<br />
B. If an approved show chooses to allow manual poling of hunters<br />
and jumpers and the relevant state laws do not prohibit such<br />
a practice, it may be done in designated schooling areas only.<br />
Single poles of bamboo only (not rattan or any other material)<br />
must be used. They may be taped to prevent splitting, but<br />
must not be over two (2) inches at the large end and must not<br />
be inhumane. Exhibitors must furnish their own poles, and no<br />
other object may be manually employed.<br />
C. Any violations shall be recorded in the Show Representative’s<br />
Report, and if cruelty or abusive behavior is evident it shall be<br />
reviewed by the Executive Committee for such action as may<br />
be deemed appropriate to the particular circumstances.<br />
G16. Drugs and Medications<br />
A. General<br />
The rules hereafter are intended to insure the inherent<br />
conformation or performance of a <strong>Pinto</strong> throughout the<br />
competition and to assure that the performance is not altered<br />
