4. All PtHA Amateurs members and PtHA Youth members in<br />

good standing are eligible.<br />

5. Novice Amateur and Novice Youth Classes are not eligible<br />

for this award.<br />

6. A contestant may exhibit more than one (1) horse,<br />

however, the points will computed separately for each unit.<br />

B. Judge Criteria<br />

1. A maximum of twenty (20) judges will be used to compute<br />

the total points per unit.<br />

2. Each judge is counted as one (1) show.<br />

3. A judge can only appear on list one (1) time.<br />

C. Points<br />

1. Points will be computed on an annual show year basis.<br />

2. Average card scores do not count from any show.<br />

3. Only individual judge’s scores will count.<br />

4. ROM points are used, not show points.<br />

5. If tie occurs for any place, World Show tie breaker logic will<br />

be used to break tie.<br />

6. If two (2) shows are tied for the same Amateur/horse unit or<br />

Youth/horse unit, the earliest show date will break the tie.<br />

D. Recognition<br />

1. An appropriate certificate will be presented to ten places in<br />

each age group.<br />

2. The name of the <strong>Pinto</strong> and owner/lessee name will be<br />

published in the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine<br />

H17. Presentation of awards<br />

All awards will be presented at the annual PtHA<br />

Convention. Those recipients unable to accept his/her<br />

award(s) in person, or by a designated representative, will<br />

have the option to have awards shipped until May 1 annually.<br />

Cost of shipping is at the recipients expense. Awards not<br />

claimed by May 1 annually will be forfeited.<br />

i. EXHiBiTion oF PinTos<br />

i1. <strong>Horse</strong><br />

A. Refer to the regulations for each type.<br />

B. Supplemental hair in mane and tail is permitted in any division.<br />

C. Jeans are appropriate attire in Stock type Halter and Western<br />

performance classes.<br />

D. Placing of a <strong>Pinto</strong>’s feet by hand is permitted.<br />

E. Any tack and/or attire infraction is to be considered as a<br />

penalty, not a disqualification, unless specific class rules<br />

require a disqualification.<br />

F. No more than eight (8) horses may hand gallop at one time in<br />

any class, including Disciplined Rail classes. Exception-PtHA<br />

managed shows.<br />

G. In no case may Western and English styles of showing be<br />

combined, except in Trail, Side Saddle, AM and YA Novice<br />

Walk/Trot, AM and YA Novice Showmanship, and YA Leadline<br />

and Walk/Trot. Western and English Showmanship classes,<br />

Western and English Pleasure classes, Western and English<br />

Equitation classes, etc. may not be combined at any time. No<br />

points will be awarded to such combined events.<br />

H. “Type” refers to the conformation type of the <strong>Pinto</strong>. “Seat”<br />

refers to the equipment used on the <strong>Pinto</strong>.<br />

I. There shall be no discrimination regarding the style of riding of<br />

any type of <strong>Horse</strong> or Pony exhibited in mixed seat classes.<br />

J. Artificial tails consisting of fabric and hair are permissible.<br />

Weighted tails are permissible as long as they do not violate<br />

rule G13. The designated judge or equipment judge shall<br />

determine if the tail meets these standards and the decision<br />

will be final. Exception: Switches and braces on saddle type<br />

entries are acceptable.<br />
