2. All time figured is on a one <strong>Pinto</strong>/one participant basis and<br />

is on the honor system.<br />

3. The registered name and number of the <strong>Pinto</strong> must be listed<br />

on the <strong>Official</strong> Time Log.<br />

4. Actual time spent riding or driving shall be kept in full and<br />

one-quarter hour increments (i.e. 2.25 hours).<br />

5. Double hours may be earned while riding or driving in<br />

national and state parks, grasslands or historic areas, as<br />

recognized by the U.S. or Canadian National Parks Service.<br />

E. Reporting Eligible Time to PtHA<br />

1. Participants are responsible for sending in official OTT<br />

time logs to PtHA in order to earn recognition or awards.<br />

2. Time Logs shall be numbered and kept in numerical order.<br />

3. Each participants should keep a copy of the <strong>Official</strong> Time<br />

Logs as sent to PtHA.<br />

4. Hours logged with other breed associations are not<br />

automatically recognized. Participant is responsible for<br />

submitting proper paperwork.<br />

F. Participant Inactivity<br />

Inactive records will be kept for a maximum of three (3)<br />

years from the date of enrollment. After such time the records<br />

will be deactivated and enrollment fees and hours earned will<br />

be forfeited.<br />

G. Recognition Levels are: 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500,<br />

2,000, 2,500, 3,000, 3,500, 4,000, 4,500 and 5,000, 6,000,<br />

7,000, 8,000, 9,000 and 10,000 hours<br />

aa. <strong>Pinto</strong> Pays Program<br />

a1. Program <strong>Rule</strong>s<br />

A. This is an incentive program for PtHA owners and exhibitors<br />

where they can earn money from PtHA ROM points and to<br />

encourage members to show at the local PtHA ROM approved<br />

shows.<br />

B. Limited to open and amateur divisions. Youth classes are not<br />

eligible.<br />

C. <strong>Pinto</strong>, Amateur/<strong>Pinto</strong> unit must be nominated each year to<br />

participate in program.<br />

D. Divisions<br />

1. <strong>Horse</strong><br />

2. Pony<br />

3. Miniature<br />

4. Breeding Stock (horse, pony, miniature)<br />

5. Amateur (horse, pony, minature combination)<br />

E. PtHA will retain 10% of all nomination fees (including late fees)<br />

for administration fees. 90% of nomination fees will be added<br />

to purse. If nomination is made after December 1, the 90% will<br />

be divided evenly with half going to the current year purse and<br />

half rolling over to be added to the next year’s purse. All points<br />

are retroactive to Jan 1 of current show year.<br />

F. Each division will compete for funds in that division’s purse<br />

only.<br />

G. Grand & Reserve Points and any average judge card points<br />

will not count for the “<strong>Pinto</strong> Pays” program.<br />

H. Point value: At the end of the PtHA show year PtHA will<br />

calculate the number of PtHA ROM points earned by all<br />

nominated <strong>Pinto</strong>s shown in each division. The total number<br />

of ROM points earned in each division will be divided into the<br />

total purse in that division to determine the monetary value of<br />

each ROM point in a division.<br />

I. Each nominated <strong>Pinto</strong> will receive a check equal to the number<br />

of ROM points earned multiplied by the monetary value of<br />

each point.<br />

J. No refunds or substitutions for any reason.<br />
