said certificate/award, providing he/she is a current PtHA<br />
member.<br />
2. The Registration Certificate of any <strong>Pinto</strong> shall be revoked<br />
by the <strong>Association</strong> if the owner thereof fraudulently<br />
advertises, claims, or holds forth that said <strong>Pinto</strong> is entitled<br />
to any PtHA title prior to that title being officially awarded<br />
by PtHA.<br />
3. Duplicate Award Certificates are available for purchase.<br />
Contact PtHA Business Office.<br />
4. Replacement Certificates are available to the original<br />
award recipient with no charge.<br />
H2. amateur and youth Register of Merit (RoM) and<br />
Champion<br />
A. General Regulations and Requirements<br />
1. All AM horse/rider combinations shall be referred to as<br />
“units” and must earn points in PtHA ROM-approved<br />
Amateur classes.<br />
2. All YA horse/rider combinations shall be referred to as<br />
“units” and must earn points in PtHA ROM-approved Youth<br />
activity classes.<br />
3. A competitive unit shall consist of either one Youth and<br />
one PtHA-registered <strong>Pinto</strong> or one Amateur and one PtHAregistered<br />
<strong>Pinto</strong>. Points and awards shall be credited to<br />
and earned by the unit.<br />
4. All Youth or Amateurs must be listed, with birth dates, on<br />
PtHA Membership Application to be eligible for PtHA YA or<br />
AM ROM points.<br />
5. All PtHA Amateurs must list birth date on PtHA Amateur<br />
Application Form to be eligible to receive PtHA ROM<br />
points.<br />
6. To receive any award in this program, the Youth or<br />
Amateur must be a current member in good standing of<br />
PtHA.<br />
B. Ownership for Amateur or Youth ROM or Champion<br />
1. To be eligible for points and awards in the Youth or<br />
Amateur Division, the <strong>Pinto</strong> must be owned or leased by<br />
the Youth or Amateur or a member of his/her immediate<br />
family as shown in the current records of PtHA.<br />
a. Such ownership must be evidenced by PtHA records at<br />
the time the <strong>Pinto</strong> is shown.<br />
b. PtHA must be notified in writing if more than one<br />
surname is used in a family and is not responsible for<br />
any loss of points due to different surname or change<br />
of surname without prompt notification.<br />
2. Definition of “immediate family” for the purpose of PtHA<br />
Youth or Amateur Champion and ROM awards shall<br />
include: father, mother, full or half-sister, in-laws, full or<br />
half-brother, in-laws, grandparents, aunt, uncle, niece,<br />
nephew, legal guardian, spouse, son, daughter, stepchild,<br />
grandchild.<br />
3. Proof of relationship may be requested if a question arises<br />
in regard to same.<br />
4. <strong>Pinto</strong>s registered in the name of a ranch, farm or<br />
corporation owned by other than immediate family<br />
members as defined do not receive Youth or Amateur<br />
points.<br />
C. Substitution<br />
1. There shall be no substitution of one <strong>Pinto</strong> with or for<br />
another in a Youth or Amateur class in a show or in the<br />
Youth or Amateur awards program.<br />
2. No performance, showmanship or equitation points<br />
can be transferred from one <strong>Pinto</strong> to another under any<br />
circumstances.<br />
