REGISTER OF MERIT • TOP 10 • PINTO OF THE YEAR • ZONE • CHALLENGE 20<br />

I. The ten (10) Youth units earning the highest number of points<br />

in each of the individual YA point-earning events during the<br />

year will be recognized. The ten (10) Amateur units earning the<br />

highest number of points in each of the individual AM pointearning<br />

events during the year will be recognized.<br />

J. YA Annual High Point, 13 & Under and 14-18; AM Annual High<br />

Point, Junior (Jr.), Senior (Sr.) and Elite.<br />

K. Tentative <strong>Horse</strong>, Pony, Miniature of the Year and AM and YA<br />

High Point placings are posted on the Web site throughout the<br />

season. It is the responsibility of all persons interested in the<br />

High Point and <strong>Pinto</strong> of the Year awards to check the tentative<br />

results. Once the annual standings have been published in the<br />

<strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine, they will be considered official.<br />

PtHA reserves the right to correct verifiable errors.<br />

H15. Zone awards, youth and amateur<br />

A. General <strong>Rule</strong>s and Regulations<br />

1. This is an annual top five overall high point award<br />

2. Given in each of the three (3) Amateur age groups (19-39,<br />

40-54, 55 and over), and two (2) Youth age groups (13 &<br />

Under and 14 – 18) in each zone.<br />

3. A unit will consist of one (1) <strong>Pinto</strong> and one (1) Exhibitor<br />

combination.<br />

4. All PtHA Amateurs members and PtHA Youth members in<br />

good standing are eligible.<br />

5. Novice Amateur and Novice Youth Classes are not eligible<br />

for this award.<br />

B. Points<br />

1. Points may be accumulated only in the zone in which the<br />

exhibitor resides.<br />

2. Points accumulate from only PtHA approved shows.<br />

3. No points will be awarded from any PtHA World or<br />

Congress Show in any zone.<br />

4. Average card scores do not count from any show.<br />

5. ROM point system listed in the current PtHA <strong>Rule</strong> <strong>Book</strong> will<br />

be used when tabulating points. See <strong>Rule</strong> G18.<br />

C. Recognition<br />

1. An appropriate certificate will be presented to five (5)<br />

places in each age group.<br />

2. The name of the <strong>Pinto</strong> and owner/lessee name will be<br />

published in the <strong>Pinto</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> online magazine<br />

H16. Challenge 20 award, youth and amateur<br />
