Task 9. Go “less with words”
One of the elements of a play is performance. Because a play is meant to be
staged, characters should make an extra effort their performance. In your group,
discuss how you will perform and present lines from the play. Do the following:
assign each member a character to play
select a part where the character muses or thinks about his/her life without
dialogue
provide speaking lines to the character
speak the lines with appropriate non-verbal strategies: facial expression and
gesture
present the speech bubble to the class and
let other groups grade your presentation using the rubric provided
