Task 9. Go “less with words”<br />

One of the elements of a play is performance. Because a play is meant to be<br />

staged, characters should make an extra effort their performance. In your group,<br />

discuss how you will perform and present lines from the play. Do the following:<br />

assign each member a character to play<br />

select a part where the character muses or thinks about his/her life without<br />

dialogue<br />

provide speaking lines to the character<br />

speak the lines with appropriate non-verbal strategies: facial expression and<br />

gesture<br />

present the speech bubble to the class and<br />

let other groups grade your presentation using the rubric provided<br />
