Non solo Van Gogh e gli altri grandi pittori in arrivo in Liguria grazie al guru delle mostre-evento Marco Goldin. La
stagione della Fondazione Palazzo Ducale porterà a Genova continenti da esplorare, fotografi, dibattiti, lezioni di storia
e tante occasioni di “respirare cultura”.
Già in corso Der Klang des Südens, un viaggio attraverso suoni, parole e musica (fino all’8 gennaio a Villa Croce),
Rossomare - Dalle mattanze all’inquinamento all’ecosostenibilità (fino all’8 gennaio alla Gam - Galleria d’Arte Moderna)
e Race (fino a marzo al Ducale e all’Acquario, vedi pagina seguente), tra le firme celebri più attese ci sono Pablo
Picasso (I Saltimbanchi, dal 16 dicembre al 29 gennaio) e Gustav Klimt (i disegni dal 10 marzo al 10 giugno 2012
alla Gam). Con l’inizio del 2012 arriverà il momento della fotografia – con gli scatti di Mario Dondero, Mario
Giacomelli e Uliano Lucas – e a chiudere la stagione delle mostre sarà Genova, un porto per l’Italia: dipinti, filmati,
documenti e punti di vista illustri (da Ippolito Caffi e Giorgio De Chirico a Paul Klee e William Turner) sulla storia del
porto genovese.
Molto ricco il calendario di dibattiti, seminari e convegni: su tutti i cicli di lezioni di filosofia Luoghi comuni e La più
vuota delle immagini, l’incontro Europa - Che cosa ci unisce, che cosa ci divide, la terza edizione di Mediterranea,
voci tra le sponde (da novembre a marzo, con – tra gli altri – Roy, Caracciolo, Yazbek, Yehoshua) e gli appuntamenti
con la storia (La Storia in piazza, popoli in movimento e Noi e gli Antichi ). Tra le novità anche l’incontro Città del
noir (con gli scrittori Morchio, Carlotto, De Cataldo, Colaprico) e lo spazio per la musica: l’8 novembre 2011 doppio
concerto blues con Marco Pandolfi e – a seguire – Dario Lombardo con Andrea Scagliarini, mentre il 7 dicembre, il
Salone del Minor Consiglio ospiterà il live acustico di Eric Bibb, uno dei più talentuosi chitarristi-cantanti blues
afroamericani.
Van Gogh and the other great painters, coming to Liguria thanks to the guru of the exhibition, Marco Goldin, are just
part of the show. This year’s cultural season at the Fondazione Palazzo Ducale offers the public: continents to explore,
photographers, debates, history lessons, and many other occasions to “breathe the culture”.
Already started are Der Klang des Südens: a Voyage through Sound, Words, and Music (until January 8 at Villa
Croce), Rossomare – From the Slaughterhouses of Pollution to Eco-sustainability (until January 8 at the Gam –
Gallery of Modern Art) and The Race to the South Pole (until March at the Palazzo Ducale and the Aquarium – see
following page). In addition to Van Gogh and Gauguin, Pablo Picasso will be arriving (The Tumblers, from December
16 to January 29) along with Gustav Klimt (drawings from March 10 to June 10, 2012 at the Gam). The beginning of
2012 will also offer moments of photography – with shots by Mario Dondero, Mario Giacomelli and Uliano Lucas
– and to finish the exhibition season there will be Genoa, a Port for Italy offering visitors painting, films, documents
and illustrated points of view (from Ippolito Caffi and Giorgio De Chirico to Paul Klee and William Turner) on the
history of the Genoese port.
Equally rich is the calendar of debates, seminars, and conventions. All the cycles of philosophy are present in the
lessons: Common Places and The Most Empty of the Images. Then there is the encounter called Europe – What
Unites Us, What Divides Us; the third edition of Mediterranean, Voices from the Shores (from November to March,
with – among others – Roy, Caracciolo, Yazbek, and Yehoshua); and rendezvous with history (History in the Piazza,
Peoples in Movement and Ancient Peoples and Us ). Among new features are the encounters called “The City of the
Black Novel” (with writers Morchio, Carlotto, De Cataldo, Colaprico) and music finds a space on November 8, 2011 with
a double blues concert with Marco Pandolfi followed by Dario Lombardo with Andrea Scagliarini, and on December
7, the Palace’s Salone del Minor Consiglio will host Eric Bibb live. Bibb is one of the most talented African-American
blues guitarist-singers.
