ABSTRACT
This dissertation versa on Education Social performed by young educators who, in their
life trajectories, belonged, on condition learners, to institutions of power assist public or
of society organized civil. I chose as locus of accomplishment the study those Programs
Crescer com Arte e Cidadania and Ponte de Encontro, of Coordenadoria da Criança e do
Adolescente-Funci, that possesses in your framework of officials this profile of
educator. My idea went to fetch understand practices and senses that the referred social
educators build about his work, considering the Education Social developed within the
aforementioned institution. The research was accomplished in city of Fortaleza, during
the months of november and december 2011. I chose a qualitative research, because it
restores the person studied in become an active subject in the construction of their
experience. Thus, the research pointed that the development of pedagogical practices
based in Education Social, with the simple control objective, is not enough to drive the
being to significant changes, but also revealed the art-education as important tool of
Education Social. Showed, still, which the signings of young people social educators,
for part of Coordenadoria-Funci, is not characterized one institutional policy. Other
constructions pointed by research were the need to advance towards the relation theorypractice,
for the consolidation of Education Social in institutional spaces; the need to
overcome the disputes between the sciences and professional performances, in the sense
of uniting efforts to consolidate the area and the importance of educators social assume
and defend theoretical presuppositions for subsidize their practices professionals.
