Chvar. Linalool (designated by later taxonomists as C. camphora var linaloolifera<br />

(Fujita, 1967) consists of two further chemoforms : chforma 86% linalool and chforma<br />

71% linalool (terminology of Tetenyi, 1970).<br />

Hirota and Hiroi (1967) and Wan-Yang et al. (1989) recognised the following<br />

chemical races among Chinese camphor trees:<br />

(i) linalool type that yields 80% linalool and 10% monoterpenes;<br />

(ii) cineole type having 76% cineole and 20% -terpene l, -terpenol;<br />

(iii) sesquiterpene type having 40–60% nerolidol and 20% each of sesquiterpenoids<br />

and monoterpenes;
