Research Quality Model: Integration <strong>of</strong> Domain Ontology-based Knowledge Management and
SQuaRE for Thai local s<strong>of</strong>tware companies.
Without a well-written requirements specification, developers do not know what to build and users do
not know what to expect. There should be some identified techniques and tools for enhancing
elicitation in quality. Most activity between <strong>the</strong> customer side <strong>the</strong> Thai local s<strong>of</strong>tware side use face-t<strong>of</strong>ace
interaction and formal process were avoid or ignored while <strong>the</strong>re were delays in decision making
from management so <strong>the</strong> product implementation will be “bottle neck” by s<strong>of</strong>tware developers. But in
global case, where electronic communication is necessary, formal approved are enforced and team
member always provide clarification <strong>of</strong> requirements and prevent fur<strong>the</strong>r misinterpretations prior to
development. It is known that ontology in S<strong>of</strong>tware Engineering can provide a source <strong>of</strong> precisely
defined term that can be communicated across people or organization and also provide shared
understanding concerning. So this research aims to set up new model for requirement quality for VSE
which will be value for both Thai local s<strong>of</strong>tware house and <strong>the</strong> customers.
6. Future work
In 2011, I am <strong>the</strong> second year <strong>of</strong> Ph.D student. For this year I am developing classification s<strong>of</strong>tware
by using Domain Ontology-based Knowledge Management and do <strong>the</strong> experiments. At <strong>the</strong> same
time, I am developing S<strong>of</strong>tware Product Quality Requirement Model for VSE by using ISO 25000 &
ISO 9126 framework.
