Industries and Proximity to WWTPs<br />

The watershed inventory displayed in Figure 3.12c shows the WWTPs in relation to<br />

the various industries in the watershed. The inventory shows that there are several<br />

WWTPs with industries in close proximity and most of these are agricultural<br />

processing industries. Examples include Seneca Foods in Glencoe, Burn Philip Food<br />

Ingredients in Hutchinson, Northern Food & Dairy in Alexandria, all of which have<br />

WWTPs within 1.5 miles of their operations. Table 3.12c lists industries within 4 miles<br />

of a WWTP. The complete list of industries in the Mississippi River-Headwaters<br />

watershed is in Appendix C.
