Physical Channel<br />

A number used by the switch software to identify the physical channel.<br />

Valid Value<br />

A 2-digit<br />

number equal to<br />

the link number<br />

Usage<br />

A multi-carrier cabinet system supports the use of two<br />

Processor Interface circuit packs, the first circuit pack<br />

(mounted in Control Carrier A) supports physical channels or<br />

links 01 through 04; the second (mounted in Control Carrier<br />

A) supports physical channels or links 05 through 08. A<br />

single-carrier cabinet system supports one Processor Interface<br />

circuit pack and physical channels or links 01 through 04 only.<br />

Maintenance Extension<br />

The extension used to per<strong>for</strong>m maintenance functions on the standby physical<br />

channel in a duplicated system. This is the extension specified on the dial plan. The<br />

standby remote loop around tests fail if this field is not administered.<br />

Abbreviated Dialing<br />

List 1<br />

Specifies the type of abbreviated dialing list.<br />

p (personal)<br />

e (enhanced)<br />

Usage<br />

If g or p is entered, a group number or personal list number<br />

also is required. Entry in this field supports Data Hot Line.<br />
