Usage<br />

Supplementary Service Protocol<br />

Determines whether AT&T NCA TSCs or QSIG NCA TSCs are sent over the<br />

interface. To change this field from a to b, first check the Adm’d NCA TSC Index<br />

field on the ISDN TSC Gateway Channel Assignments (page 291). Make sure no<br />

NCA TSC on the Signaling Group screen is administered as a Gateway Channel. If<br />

they are, you must remove the NCA TSC Gateway assignment first be<strong>for</strong>e this field<br />

can be changed to b.<br />

Usage<br />

AT&T protocol<br />

QSIG protocol. This field may be set to b only if the Basic<br />

Supplementary Services field on the System-Parameters<br />

Customer-Options screen is y. If this field is b, pages 2 through<br />

5 do not appear.<br />

Trunk Brd<br />

Enter a 5-character DS1 Interface circuit pack number that has trunk members<br />

belonging to this Signaling Group. Displays when the Associated Signaling field is n<br />

(indicates NFAS).<br />

Interface ID<br />

In an NFAS Signaling Group, an Interface ID must be assigned to each DS1 facility<br />

so that it can be referenced by both interfacing switches. When a call is established<br />

between switches, the Interface ID at each end is used to determine which B-channel<br />

is to be used to establish the call. The Interface ID numbers on both ends must be the<br />

same. Displays when the Associated Signaling field is n (indicates NFAS). Enter an<br />

interface ID <strong>for</strong> the corresponding DS1 Interface circuit pack.Pages 2 through 5 of the<br />

screen.<br />
