NT Tasks<br />

• Log on to Windows NT and start the IP Trunk service<br />

• Use the Configuration Manager to administer the routes and dialing permissions<br />

you defined on the Dial/Routing Plan worksheets or the procedures <strong>for</strong> extension<br />

dialing between sites.<br />

• Use the Configuration Manager to set the IP Trunk service parameters<br />

Plan call routing<br />

Use the IP Trunk worksheets (shown at the end of this appendix) and/or the<br />

Procedures <strong>for</strong> Extension Dialing Between Sites to plan and coordinate your IP Trunk<br />

administration in Configuration Manager and DEFINITY <strong>ECS</strong> switch administration<br />

software.<br />

You will create a dialing and routing plan, then use the in<strong>for</strong>mation to administer<br />

DEFINITY <strong>ECS</strong> and the IP Trunk application. Read and follow these instructions<br />

carefully.<br />

Follow these procedures <strong>for</strong> administering extension dialing between several sites.<br />

This section includes the steps <strong>for</strong> administration as well as examples using three sites<br />

that show DCS and non-DCS scenarios.<br />

The worksheets are used <strong>for</strong> any two-site configuration allowing off-premise dialing.<br />

Worksheet 1 is used to capture general in<strong>for</strong>mation about your site.<br />

Worksheets 2–8 are used <strong>for</strong> different levels of off-premise dialing restrictions at the<br />

remote site, as listed in the following table.<br />
