The values <strong>for</strong> these fields will be specified by the system<br />

administrator.<br />

Bearer Capability Class. This is a display-only field.<br />

The node name <strong>for</strong> the interface (C-LAN port) defined by this<br />

data module. This must be a name previously entered on the<br />

Node Names screen.<br />

y means that this switch will be responsible <strong>for</strong> the call setup <strong>for</strong><br />

this connection. Enter n when administering the data module <strong>for</strong><br />

Switch 2.<br />

Trunk access code (611) plus extension of data module on node 2<br />

(3020). If you use just the extension, then you must administer<br />

UDP and AAR route patterns to access the correct trunk group.<br />

Name of the node at the far end (Switch 2) of this connection.<br />

This must be a name entered on the Node Names screen (on both<br />

switches).<br />

This field enables/disables the Challenge Handshake<br />

Authentication Protocol security mechanism on this link. If you<br />

enter y, another field will appear prompting <strong>for</strong> a CHAP secret<br />

(password).<br />
