A Screens Reference<br />

Type<br />

Specify the type of treatment <strong>for</strong> the extension. That is, specify whether the extension<br />

should receive intercept treatment, be converted to AAR, or be converted via ENP.<br />

The difference between AAR Location Codes and UDP Location Codes is that 7-digit<br />

AAR Numbers created from AAR Location Codes may be changed during AAR<br />

analysis by AAR digit conversion be<strong>for</strong>e being routed. Seven-digit AAR Numbers<br />

created from UDP Location Codes are not subject to digit conversion be<strong>for</strong>e being<br />

routed with AAR digit analysis.When an extension code that is displayed on the UDP<br />

screen is not administrable because it conflicts with the translations in the first and/or<br />

second digit tables, then the type field <strong>for</strong> that extension code displays "NotInDP."<br />

Usage<br />

The entry TempOOS indicates an extension is temporarily<br />

out-of-service. Calls to these extensions receive reorder.<br />

A blank entry indicates this Ext code is not administered. If no<br />

matching code can be found, then the call receives intercept<br />

treatment.<br />

Location Code<br />

Specify the 3-digit location code <strong>for</strong> Ext Codes administered with a type of AARCode<br />

or UDPCode. This field displays if AARCode or UDPCode is entered as the type.<br />

Node Number<br />

Specify the node number <strong>for</strong> Ext Codes administered with a type of ENPNode. This<br />

field pops up if ENPNode is entered as the type.<br />

Note: This node number must not be the same as the local node number<br />

on the dial plan screen.<br />
