2 H.323 Trunks<br />

Task 4 — Create a signaling group<br />

This task creates a signaling group that will be associated with H.323 trunks that<br />

connect this switch to a far-end switch. One or more unique signaling groups must be<br />

established <strong>for</strong> each far-end node that this switch is connected to via H.323 trunks.<br />

Note:<br />

The following steps address only those fields that are specifically related<br />

to H.323 trunks. The other fields are administered as <strong>for</strong> previous releases<br />

and are described in the <strong>Admin</strong>istrator’s Guide.<br />

Enter the node name <strong>for</strong> the C-LAN IP interface on this<br />

switch. The node name must be administered on the<br />

Node Names screen and the IP Interfaces screen.<br />

Near-end Listen Port: Enter an unused port number from the range 1719, 1720<br />

or 5000–9999. The number 1720 is re<strong>com</strong>mended.<br />

Note:<br />

If the LRQ field is set to y, the near-end<br />

Listen Port must be 1719.<br />
