Fault – Cause – Remedy<br />

Message Cause Remedy<br />

MV low !!! The minute volume has fallen below the<br />

lower alarm limit.<br />

Check condition of patient,<br />

check pattern of ventilation,<br />

adjust alarm limit if neccessary.<br />

Stenosis Check condition of patient. Check tube.<br />

Check hose system.<br />

Leak in breathing system Establish leak-free breathing system.<br />

Flow sensor not calibrated or faulty. Calibrate flow sensor (page 106),<br />

replace if necessary.<br />

Machine malfunction. Disconnect patient from the device and<br />

continue ventilation without delay using<br />

another independent ventilator.<br />

Call DrägerService.<br />

MV low alarm off ! Monitoring of the lower alarm limit for<br />

minute volume has been deactivated in<br />

application mode NIV.<br />

Nebuliser on ! The medicament nebuliser is switched on,<br />

page 91.<br />

Nebulisation interrupted !! Nebulisation is only possible in pressurecontrolled<br />

ventilation or with AutoFlow.<br />

Set alarm limit MV < to the required<br />

value again.<br />

Switch off the medicament nebuliser if<br />

necessary, page 91.<br />

Select the patient mode.<br />

Restart neb ulisation.<br />

Acknowledge the alarm with<br />

»Alarm Reset« key and confirm.<br />

Flow sensor not ready for measurement. Switch on flow monitoring or calibrate<br />

sensor or replace flow sensor or change<br />

mode of ventilation.<br />

Restart nebulisation.<br />

Acknowledge the alarm with<br />

»Alarm Reset« key and confirm.<br />

No pulse signal !!! The SpO2 sensor has become displaced. Check that the SpO2 sensor is correctly<br />

fitted.<br />

O2 calibration overused ? !! Key has been pressed frequently in a short<br />

period of time.<br />

Acknowledge message by pressing<br />

»Alarm Reset« key and confirm. If this<br />

message appears repeatedly: Disconnect<br />

patient from the device and continue<br />

ventilation with another independent<br />

ventilator. Call DrägerService.<br />

O2 measurement inop. !!! O2 sensor provides invalid measured Calibrate O2 sensor (page 115),<br />

values.<br />

replace if necessary.<br />

O2 measurement malfunction. Ventilation can be continued:<br />

use external O2 monitoring and deactivate<br />

integrated O2 monitoring.<br />
