The Impact of Pesticides - Academy Publish

Pesticide Residues indicated a possible risk to health, which has restrained theCodex Alimentarius Committee from setting a maximum residue level for many ofthese compounds. As already stated by other authors (Van Dyk and Pletschke,2011), an effective strategy for dealing with pesticide contamination in theenvironment has to commence with an assessment of the extent of the problem.However, monitoring programs for pesticides are scarce, particularly in developingcountries.
