Protecting wheel centering seat against<br />

corrosion<br />

Valid for light alloy and steel wheels<br />

When replacing wheel, the wheel centering seat should be<br />

waxed with<br />

Spray wax D322000A2<br />

To prevent corrosion between wheel centering seat and<br />

wheel.<br />

- Remove wheel.<br />

- Always clean wheel centering seat at wheel hub and<br />

center of rim.<br />

- Apply wax to the area of the centering seat with a brush -<br />

arrow - .<br />

Make sure that wax is applied only to the centering seat<br />

- arrow - and not the contact surface of the wheel. The<br />

brakes could be contaminated which would result in<br />

poor braking.<br />

Caution!<br />

Wheel bolts, contact surfaces of wheel/wheel hub and<br />

threads in wheel hub must not be waxed. Threads of<br />

wheel bolts must never be handled with grease or<br />

corrosion protection agents!<br />

- Install and fasten wheel 44-2, Tightening torques for<br />

wheel bolts .<br />
