Seatbelts<br />

Safety precautions for seatbelt tensioners<br />

• Testing, removing, installing and servicing may ONLY<br />

be performed by qualified personnel.<br />

• NEVER open or attempt to repair belt tensioner<br />

components; always use new parts (danger of injury).<br />

• Seatbelt tensioner units that have been hit with any<br />

force or have fallen to floor, must not be installed in a<br />

vehicle.<br />

• Always replace belt tensioner units which have<br />

experienced mechanical damage (dents, cracks).<br />

• Storage and transportation of belt tensioners must<br />

comply with Explosives Act. .<br />

• distributor or importer is responsible for disposal of<br />

non-ignited units.<br />

• ALWAYS install belt tensioner units in vehicle, as<br />

soon as y are removed from packaging.<br />

• NEVER use impact wrenches to remove belt<br />

tensioners.<br />

• If installation work is interrupted, IMMEDIATELY<br />

return belt tensioner unit to its original packaging.<br />

• NEVER leave a belt tensioner unattended.<br />

• NEVER treat a belt tensioner unit with grease,<br />

cleaning products or anything similar. Do NOT expose<br />

belt tensioner unit to temperatures above 212 F<br />

(100 C) even for a few seconds.<br />

• pyrotechnic ignition charge does not have an<br />

expiration date, i.e. it has an infinite shelf life and is<br />

maintenance free.<br />

• Belt tensioners that have ignited can be disposed of<br />

as normal scrap. It is recommended, however, that<br />

deployed seat belt tensioners be recycled.<br />
