- Clamp gas-filled strut in vice area - x - = 50 mm (2 in.).<br />

Warning!<br />

Clamping must only be done in this area, otherwise<br />

there is a risk of an accident.<br />

- Using saw, cut into cylindrical part of strut at point within<br />

first third of cylinders length (measured from cover edge at<br />

piston rod end of cylinder).<br />

Note:<br />

Always wear eye protection when performing this<br />

procedure.<br />

Cover area of sawn-off portion with a clean rag.<br />

Dispose of fluid and cleaning rag in a proper manner.<br />

Rear lid, adjusting<br />

Note:<br />

Rear lid is properly adjusted when there is an overall even<br />

gap dimension when closed, it is not too far inward or<br />

outward and contours align.<br />

Vehicle must stand on its wheels in order to be able to<br />

perform adjustment.<br />

- Turn stopper approx. 90 using a ring wrench 24 mm<br />

and remove from shaped hole.<br />

- Remove rubber buffers - 1 - from stopper and loosen<br />

clamp screw (socket-head 3mm) only as much until<br />

notched slider can be removed.<br />
