Lousewort.<br />

(From the Latin pediculus, a louse, because one of the species,<br />

Pedicularis palustria, was said to produce a lousy disease in<br />

sheep.)<br />

Key after Prain. It contains all the species of Plates 48<br />

and 49. Under Plate 48 only those species will be described<br />

which are figured on that plate ;<br />

under Plate 49, first those<br />

that are figured on that plate and the rest in alphabetical<br />

order.<br />
