for relatively small images too, therefore it is relevant to find out which optimization methods are able to help solving
the problem.
This paper compares three methods suitable for defuzzification: simulated annealing, which is most recommended
for similar aims, global optimization program GLOBAL, based on BTRK clustering algorithm, and a linear solver.
The applicability of the latter was made possible by linearizing the objective function and the constraints. The three
methods were implemented in MatLab and tested on small synthetic images.
As the paper presents, speed can be considerably increased by applying the linear model, so with refined constraints
it could offer a good opportunity for practical use.
