Ishtar Yasin Gutiérrez
Dramaturga, actriz, guionista, directora de cine y teatro, nació en Moscú en 1968
y es hija de padre iraquí y madre chilena-costarricense. Después del golpe militar
de 1973 en Chile, se trasladó con su familia a Costa Rica, donde estudió Teatro
en el Conservatorio Castella. En 1985 volvió a Moscú, donde se licenció en Arte
en el Instituto Estatal de Cine de Moscú VGIK. En 1986 fue galardonada con el
Premio de Interpretación Pushkin en Moscú. En 1992 fundó el Teatro Ámbar,
donde trabajó como dramaturga, directora y actriz. Recibió el Premio Nacional de
Teatro de Costa Rica por la obra “Agonice con elegancia”. Fue directora artística
del grupo de teatro Salamandra. Escribió y dirigió el espectáculo interdisciplinar
“Los que pintan el cielo”. En 1998 creó Producciones Astarté, donde trabajó como
guionista, productora y directora de cine. Ha escrito poemas, cuentos, artículos
periodísticos y ha sido jurado en festivales internacionales de cine y teatro en Chile,
Francia, Estados Unidos, Cuba y Argentina. Actualmente trabaja en su segundo
largometraje, Dos Fridas, seleccionado por el Festival Internacional de Cine de
Guanajuato, México, 2012.

Playwright, actress, film and theatrical director, she was
born in Moscow in 1968, the daughter of an Iraqi father and
a Chilean-Costa Rican mother. After the 1973 coup d’état in
Chile, she moved to Costa Rica with her family; there, she
studied Theater at the Castella Conservatory. In 1985, she
returned to Moscow, where she graduated in Art at the State
Film Institute in Moscow (VGIK). In 1986, she was awarded
the Pushkin Acting Award in Moscow. In 1992, she founded
the Ambar Theater, where she worked as playwright, director
and actress. She received the Costa Rica National Theater
Award for the play “Agonice con elegancia”. She was the artistic
director of the Salamandra Theater Group. She wrote
and directed the interdisciplinary spectacle “Los que pintan
el cielo”. In 1998, she created Producciones Astarté, where
she worked as film screenwriter, producer and director. She
has written poems, short stories, newspaper articles, and has
participated as a member of the jury at international film and
theater festivals in Chile, France, the United States, Cuba and
Argentina. Currently, she is working on her second feature
film, Dos Fridas, selected by the Guanajuato International
Film Festival, Mexico, 2012.
Dramaturge, actrice, réalisatrice et metteur en scène, elle
est née à Moscou en 1968, d’un père iraquien et d’une mère
Chilienne-Costa-Ricaine. Après le coup d’État de 1973 au Chili,
elle s’installe à Costa Rica avec sa famille. Elle étudie alors
le Théâtre au conservatoire de Castella. En 1985, elle retourne
à Moscou pour se diplômer en Art à l’Institut du Cinéma
de Moscou VGIK. En 1986, elle reçoit le prix d’interprétation
Pushkin à Moscou. En 1992, elle fonde le Théâtre Ambar, où
elle travaille comme dramaturge, metteur en scène et actrice.
Elle reçoit le Prix National de Théâtre de Costa Rica pour
la pièce « Agonice con elegancia ». Elle devient la directrice
artistique de la troupe de théâtre Salamandra. Elle écrit et
dirige le spectacle interdisciplinaire « Los que pintan el cielo
». En 1998, elle crée la société de production Astarté, où
elle travaille en tant que scénariste, productrice et réalisatrice.
Elle écrit aussi des poèmes, des nouvelles et des articles.
Elle est membre du jury de festivals de cinéma et de théâtre
au Chili, en France, aux Etats-Unis, à Cuba et en Argentine.
Elle travaille actuellement sur son deuxième projet de longmétrage,
Dos Fridas, sélectionné en 2012 au Festival International
de Film de Guanajuato, au Mexique.
