Cinenómada est l’un des projets clés mis en place en 2005
par Al-Tarab. Il est destiné à faire connaître au public
espagnol les cinématographies africaines et, à travers elles,
les réalités socioculturelles du continent. Concrètement,
Cinenómada promeut la production audiovisuelle africaine
au travers l’organisation de cycles dans les réseaux culturels
non commerciaux, étendant ainsi le travail du FCAT tout au
long de l’année.
Par ces cycles, Cinenómada permet d’apporter un minimum de
revenus à des producteurs et réalisateurs de tout le continent
africain. Par ailleurs, dans un pays où les films africains sont
encore méconnus, cette distribution culturelle alternative est
la première étape vers une éventuelle ouverture du marché
espagnol et pour la diffusion du cinéma africain via les canaux
de distribution commerciaux.
Cinenómada propose une large palette de titres issus des
éditions précédentes du Festival de cinéma africain de Tarifa,
tous sous-titrés en espagnol. Il représente aujourd’hui la
seule offre de cette envergure et de ce type en Espagne.
Actuellement, plus de 625 films produits en Afrique ou à
propos de l’Afrique sont à la disposition de toute personne
souhaitant organiser un cycle.
Face à l’importance acquise par le projet ces dernières
années, nous avons ressenti la nécessité de professionnaliser
Cinenómada. Dans ce but, nous bénéficions depuis septembre
2009 de l’aide de Casa África. Ce soutien permet à Al-Tarab
d’établir une stratégie de promotion à long terme, afin de
multiplier les cycles réalisés et de leur donner une continuité
dans le temps.
Cinenómada, one of the key projects that Al-Tarab started in
2005, is aimed at bringing the Spanish public closer to African
cinema and, by means of its films, to the social and cultural
realities of the continent. More specifically, Cinenómada
promotes the film production of the African continent by
means of non-profit cultural sessions, thereby carrying
FCAT’s effort over the whole year.
By means of these sessions, Cinenómada provides a minimum
income to directors and producers from the African continent.
On another hand, in a country in which African cinema is still
a great unknown, this alternative cultural distribution is an
essential preliminary stage to the future opening of the
Spanish market, and for the diffusion of African cinema via
commercial distribution channels.
Cinenómada offers a wide selection of films, subtitled into
Spanish, from previous editions of the Tarifa African Film
Festival that, at this time, represents the only supply of
its kind and magnitude available in Spain. Currently, more
than 625 films produced in Africa or concerning Africa are
available to whomever wishes to organize a film session.
Taking into account the growth of this project over the
last years; we have found it necessary to professionalize
Cinenómada. To this end, as of September 2009, we count on
the support of Casa África. This endorsement allows Al-Tarab
to set up a long-term promotion strategy in order to increase
the sessions carried out and ensure its continuity.
