Programming the Robot<br />
To teach a location (i.e., record a location in the PLC):<br />
1. Enable N240:0/1 or <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Adept</s<strong>tr</strong>ong>_Command_Bits.1, the Update Position Registers bit.<br />
This bit must remain enabled until the registers are updated. See Table 6-3 on<br />
page 85 for more information.<br />
NOTE: Make sure that the robot is given sufficient time to settle before<br />
performing the next steps (recording the current position).<br />
2. Move the current robot coordinates (either the Cartesian coordinates in F244:0-5<br />
or <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Adept</s<strong>tr</strong>ong>_Here.0-5, or the joint coordinates in F244:6-11 or <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Adept</s<strong>tr</strong>ong>_Here.6-11), to<br />
an appropriate data array.<br />
3. Perform the steps to define a location, as described in the section “Location &<br />
Pallet Register Definitions” on page 96.<br />
