TROUBLESHOOTING<br />

Adjusting the volume of the ringer<br />

If the ringing sound made when the machine receives a fax is too loud or too soft,<br />

follow the steps below to adjust the volume.<br />

The fax ringer volume is adjusted in the system settings (administrator).<br />

Press the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] key on the operation panel,<br />

touch [Image Send Settings] - [Fax Settings] - [Fax Default Settings] -<br />

[Speaker Settings] - [Ringer Volume] in that order, and then select the<br />

desired volume.<br />

The machine starts printing when I try to forward data...<br />

Before forwarding received fax data to a shared<br />

folder, check that destination computer is turned on.<br />

If the computer is not turned on, the machine<br />

prints the received fax data. If data is being<br />

forwarded to several computers, received data is<br />

printed if even one of the computers is turned off.<br />

Checking the machine's communication record<br />

To check the machine's record of communication using the image send function,<br />

follow the steps below to print the image sending activity report.<br />

The image sending activity report is printed from the system settings<br />

(administrator).<br />

Press the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] key on the operation panel,<br />

and then touch [List Print (Administrator)] - [Image Sending Activity Report]<br />

to print the report.<br />
