select an available LUN (one not mapped yet) by moving the<br />

cursor bar to the LUN, then press [ENTER].<br />

2. A list of available logical volumes will be displayed on the screen.<br />

Move the cursor bar to the desired logical unit, then<br />

press[ENTER].<br />

3. A list of available partitions within the logical volume will be<br />

displayed. Move cursor bar to the desired partition, then press<br />

[ENTER]. If you have not partitioned the logical volume, it will<br />

be displayed as one logical partition.<br />

4. When prompted to “Map<br />

Host LUN," press [ENTER]<br />

to proceed. For access control over Fibre network, find in Chapter<br />

9 details about "Create Host Filter Entry."<br />

5. When prompted to "Map<br />

Logical Volume?,” select<br />

Yes to continue.<br />

A prompt will display the<br />

mapping you wish to create.<br />

Choose Yes to confirm the<br />

LUN mapping you selected.<br />

The details in the confirm box read: partition 0 of logical volume 0<br />

will map to LUN 0 of SCSI ID 0 on host channel 0.<br />

If your controller has not been configured with a host channel and<br />

assigned with SCSI ID, please move on to section 8.12.<br />
