install the Text <strong>RAID</strong> Manager for Solaris.<br />

Choose "5" (for 32-bit OS) or "6" (for 64-bit OS) this time to<br />

install the <strong>RAID</strong> SNMP sub-agent for Solaris. This step can be<br />

ignored if SNMP remote administration is not going to be<br />

used. If TCP/IP protocol and SNMP service have not yet<br />

installed on this system, it can be installed later after the<br />

system TCP/IP and SNMP installed. The <strong>RAID</strong> SNMP subagent<br />

is not a must to be installed.<br />

Install it only when needed.<br />

A5. Choose "q" to quit when the same list of selections appear<br />

again.<br />

A6. Reboot the system.<br />

# init 6<br />

A7. After the system reboot, type "boot -r" in the boot screen to let<br />

the Solaris knows to look for new device drivers and<br />

incorporate them as part of the boot process.<br />

13.7.4 Using Text <strong>RAID</strong> Manager to Configure <strong>RAID</strong><br />

1. Change the current directory to where the Text <strong>RAID</strong><br />

Manager is located.<br />

# cd /usr/lib/raidsnmp<br />

2. Execute the Text <strong>RAID</strong> Manager under command prompt:<br />

# ./raidman<br />
