Shown below is the <strong>Infortrend</strong> controller front panel:<br />

Displays throughput during normal operation.<br />

Displays messages for configuration and<br />

management. (2 lines x 16 characters)<br />

Lighted LED indicates power is on.<br />

Unlit indicates no activity<br />

Blinking indicates data is being accessed<br />

Lighted LED indicates unprocessed cached data is<br />

still in the memory.<br />

Lights when an error message appears or service is<br />

required…, when a drive fails and needs to be<br />

replaced.<br />

Scroll through available options<br />

Choose or execute an option<br />

Return to previous menu or cancel selection.<br />

A <strong>RAID</strong> system consists of many physical drives that can be modified<br />

and configured as the members of one or several logical<br />

drives/volumes.<br />

Press the front panel ENT button for<br />

two seconds to enter the Main Menu.<br />

Use ▼ or ▲ to navigate through the<br />

menus. Choose "View and Edit SCSI<br />

Drives," then press ENT.<br />

Use ▼ or ▲ to scroll down the list of<br />

connected drives’ information screens.<br />

Use ▼ or ▲ to navigate through the<br />

menus. Choose "View Drive<br />

Information," then press ENT.<br />

The Revision Number of the selected<br />

SCSI drive will be shown on the LCD.<br />

Press ▼ to view the other items.<br />

Other items include "Serial Number"<br />

and "Disk Capacity" (displayed in<br />

blocks). Each block size displayed is<br />

equal to 512K Bytes.<br />
