N Clean device <strong>and</strong> engine compartment/internal space. Remove dust <strong>and</strong> dirt from the cooler openings of the<br />
fan housing <strong>and</strong> the cooling air ducts of the drive motor, as well as from the ventilation slots <strong>and</strong> the cover of<br />
perforated plate of the frequency inverter.<br />
N Attach hazard notes completely <strong>and</strong> well legible according to the instructions. Check the warning signs,<br />
protective covers, step platform, engine hood <strong>and</strong> plastic-cover installation channel in the engine compartment<br />
for existence <strong>and</strong> for damage <strong>and</strong> replace as necessary.<br />
N All protective-resistance connectors, which can be reached from the outside, must examined for their correct<br />
value <strong>and</strong> correct labelling.<br />
N Check capture slot at the rear end <strong>and</strong> at reverse belt rotation in the front as well <strong>and</strong> adjust as necessary.<br />
Capture slot < 8 mm. According to regulation draft 60601-2-xx © IEC:200X 62D/479/NWIP 2003-05-18 <strong>and</strong><br />
according to EN 957-1. See chapter “test-finger“, which has a diameter of 9.5mm (+0.1) at the front.<br />

N Resistance between housing <strong>and</strong> ProtectiveEarth-<br />
Connection.<br />
N The low resistance pass is to be controlled according to<br />
VDE 0701/0702 (sports <strong>and</strong> fitness <strong>machine</strong>s) or VDE<br />
0751/IEC 60601-1 (medical devices) by the protectiveresistance<br />
measurement with a measuring device for the<br />
protective-earth-resistance measurement.<br />
N The connecting lead is to be moved while measuring for<br />
at least 5 sec. If the resistance changes hereby it is highly<br />
probable that the cable or the connectors have been<br />
damaged. In this case the cable has to be replaced <strong>and</strong><br />
the device has to be repaired immediately.<br />
N Resitance between „briged“ L+N <strong>and</strong> ProtectiveEarth-<br />
Connection.<br />
N Make sure that all isolations, that are under stress of the<br />
mains voltage, are being seized. All switches <strong>and</strong><br />
contactors should be connected.<br />
N The measuring is to be performed with measuring<br />
devices for the isolation-resistance measurement<br />
according to VDE 0701/0702 (sports <strong>and</strong> fitness<br />
<strong>machine</strong>s) or VDE 0751/IEC 60601-1 (medical devices).<br />
