[12.R] Safety multiple socket<br />
The stable safety multiple socket [cos100157] can be used for<br />
the safe connection of a medical h/p/cosmos treadmill with<br />
peripheral devices such as PCs, printer or monitors.<br />
It meets all requirements for multiple sockets for creating<br />
connections of a medical electrical system within the patients<br />
environment.<br />

safety multiple socket [cos100157]<br />
As claimed in the norm EN60601-1 for medical electrical devices, the multiple socked is accessible only with the help of<br />
a tool. With this method an unintentionally made connection of further devices to the system is avoided, which lowers<br />
the risk of an exceedance of the maximum allowed patient-leakage-current of 0.5mA at the complete system.<br />
N Due to the very high load of treadmills it is never allowed to connect more than 1 treadmill or<br />
other consumers with high load do the safety multiple socket. Use a dedicated line only.<br />
N The power consumption of the consumers which are connected in addition to the treadmill-<br />
ergometer to the safety multiple socket must be in total lower than 300W.<br />
N When connecting treadmills to the safety multiple socket, there are no performance-limitations<br />
to expect at low-performance applications (walking, slow <strong>running</strong>). For high-performance<br />
applications (fast <strong>running</strong>, sprints, etc.) the use of the safety multiple socket can result in<br />
performance limitations.<br />
N For high performance applications a 3-phase powered treadmill is recommended.
