Our difficulty arose in trying to raise the taxonomic level from the
first two levels--knowledge and comprehension- -to the appticatory
level and higher. In the case of knowledge, we want to say. “Given
a situation such as you at-e likely to encounter in your future job, you
will be able io apply your newly acquired knowledge well enough to
analyze your situation, synthesize all pertinent factors, make an
evaluative judgment, and behave nppropri ately. ”
